Bookmarks

If you're here looking for bookmarks, then you already know that reading a good book is one of the simplest and most beautiful ways to escape from the busy world for a while. And if you already value a good book, you also know that a bookmark keeps a book in excellent health - no dog-eared pages, no cracked spines.

Good bookmarks are treasures; they're your trusted companions as you journey through literary doorways into unfamiliar times and spaces, holding your place as you move between that world and this.

You could hold your place with a post-it note, a paper clip, a blade of grass, or a scrap of paper, but why not give yourself something beautiful?

We have sweet and whimsical bookmarks hatched in the Twigseeds studio, delightful animal bookmarks, and a range of inspiring spiritual bookmarks with stunning photography, all with words of wisdom.

Do you know someone who reads more than one book at a time? A bookmark is a thoughtful addition to a gift for them, acknowledging their passion for books.

Or why not treat yourself? They're so inexpensive and uplifting.

Desiderata

One of our most popular bookmarks features the words of Desiderata, which means "things that are desired." It was written by Max Ehrmann, in the early 1920s "because it counsels those virtues I felt most in need of."

Although it was written more than a hundred years ago, the words have never been more relevant or needed.

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story...

The Beauty of Bookmarks

It might be a little strong to say that a gorgeous bookmark can transform even an ordinary book into something extraordinary, but between us, we think it can. We believe that adding a bookmark also gives you another reason to pick up your book again later, and our hope is that our collection will inspire you to pick up a book and read it right through - or at least until you see your next favourite and very wise bookmark!
